What the NHS App does
Patients can use the NHS App to:
- Order repeat prescriptions
- Book and manage GP appointments online
- View blood test results
- Check their symptoms
- View their GP medical record securely
- Modify their organ donation decision

How does the NHS App benefit patients?
One of the NHS App’s best features is that it links you directly to your GP practice.
The App connects to our system, meaning these functions are available to you even when the practice is closed. So, you can reorder a prescription as soon as you think of it or look for an appointment times that suit you. No waiting for the practice to be open, no phone calls and no need for extra trips to the practice.
Furthermore, if you need urgent help, you can also access NHS 111 directly through the App.
