Mental Heath Nurse
We have a Mental Health Nurse, who works across our sites. Please see below for more information on the role and how it supports our patients:
- Our Mental Health Nurse (MHN) can consult adults over the age of 18, with functional mental illness such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, and OCD but not dementia or learning disabilities, in these circumstances it would be more appropriate for you to be booked an appointment with your named GP.
- Our MHN will complete an initial assessment and signpost to appropriate services in the community or to the GP if medication is required.
- Most referrals for our MHN come through our GP Triage System and appointments are predominately 20-minute telephone consultations.
