First Contact Physiotherapist: Helping You Feel Better

Our First Contact Physios (FCPs) are experts who can help if you have pain in your muscles, joints or soft tissues (like a sprain or ache). They are the first people you should see if you’re hurt or feeling sore.

What Can an FCP Do?
If you’re 16 or older and have a problem with your muscles or joints, an FCP can:

  • Give you tips and advice on how to feel better.
  • Arrange tests like scans or X-rays if needed.
  • Send you to a specialist or other care services, just like a doctor would.
  • Help with medicine or injections if you need them.

FCPs will check what’s wrong and make a plan to help you get better as quickly as possible.

Why See an FCP?
If you have muscle or joint pain, you don’t need to see a doctor. An FCP is specially trained to help with these problems. Additionally, their appointments are 20 minutes long, so they have enough time to understand your problem and help you.

How Can You Book an Appointment?

If you contact us for a GP appointment but we believe an FCP could provide you with the care you need, we will suggest this to you.
